The Hamad Medical Corporation Simulation Center is an education and training facility, situated at the center of Hamad Medical City. Inhabitants of the facility will be professional staff, both clinical and nursing, as well as medical residents. The inherent nature of collaboration encourages the concept of merging and support through spatial arrangements and form.
The existing structure, partially constructed, will be repurposed from a typical education center to an expanded program encompassing skills labs, simulation suites, standardized patient care training and a surgical training lab. The need for growth of this building in form created an opportunity for structure to be both expressive and minimally impacted.
In concept, this facility aims to present state of the art training for a culturally diverse educational community. The building itself seeks to form an environment that both creates a distinct central location for learning on the campus and integrates the complexities of training spaces.
