Andy's expertise is wide ranging, encompassing collegiate athletic training centers to amphitheaters and recreation centers to sports performance facilities. He has personally designed over 100 collegiate DI athletics and recreation projects. Andy is a collaborator. He has extensive experience working with large groups on projects. He listens carefully to the input of administrators, staff, community or campus stakeholders, and user groups to understand the planning and design issues that will lead to successful projects.
He regularly serves as a symposium speaker at conferences including the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Convention, Athletic Business Conference and National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association conferences.
Among his favorite accomplishments are the award-winning designs for the Denver Broncos Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse at the UCHealth Training Center, the University of Colorado Dal Ward Athletic Center, the Colorado School of Mines Student Recreation Center and the Breckenridge Stephen C. West Ice Arena. His work at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and at Pepperdine University are among his favorite projects as well.
Andy graduated with honors from Montana State University and subsequently received his Masters in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
