The Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects recognized Perkins+Will with a record five Awards of Excellence at their 56th Annual Design Awards. A total of 22 awards for outstanding design projects were given to architects, designers and students, selected from the highest number of submissions the chapter has seen to-date. "We are extremely humbled by the amazing response we have had from our local peers," says Perkins+Will Design Director Pat Bosch.
Of the five awards, three were recognized with Awards of Excellence for unbuilt designs, including Florida International University Science Classroom Complex, University of Florida Clinical Tranlational Research Building, and the Brickell Financial Centre Phase II Study. An Award of Excellence for Green Design was presented to the LEED Gold certified Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute at Lake Nona. Perkins+Will’s own Miami office brought home an Award of Excellence for Interior Design.
Congratulations to all AIA-Miami Design Award winners.
